A group of twelve attended a company Christmas dinner tonight. Comfortable dining, not crowded for space like is often the case. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I started with a cup of the sausage & bean soup, followed by the bourbon Delmonico, finished with the peanut butter pie for dessert! Our server, Mike, was very polite & professional! He did a great job for a large table!

We stopped here on our way home from a funeral. I ordered a margarita and a broiled haddock dish. We also had shrimp and the chilli, as it was the soup of the day. The margarita was a tall glass of ice, with about 5 ounces of liquid. 3 sips and it was gone. I then ordered a "proper" margarita, and was given some odd coconut drink. I then explained what a margarita was, and finally got one. The shrimp was not thoroughly cooked, and the scampi was more like broth. I complained to the waitress, and the manager immediately came to our table. He was prompt, understanding, and did everything to make it right. I've never seen better service. It made up for the food and drink issues. This is obviously a very upscale establishment, and I felt a bit outclassed in parking my Toyota next to all of the Mercedes, Cadillacs, and BMWs.

We went to Delta Lake Inn for our anniversary and had a great time. We'd heard about their Sunday brunch from our plumber and have been meaning to try it for some time. We were a party of 4 and ended up seated at a 8-top in a separate room off to one side so we really felt like we had the place to ourselves. The downside was the room was in fact off to one side so it did not have great air circulation - it wasn't hot but it wasn't as cool as the rest of the restaurant either. Things got off to a bit of a rocky start when our server did not understand our wine order and the hostess came to check to see which bottle we had ordered. The server arrived with the wine and bottle opener only to dash off to have someone start the corkscrew into the cork for her. She managed to get it open but it was touch and go for a minute. Our friend remarked that perhaps she did not open many wine bottles and she admitted most folks order by the glass. The food was really tasty - I had the lobster risotto which was rich and flavorful. Everyone loved their entrees. We splurge on dessert and shared several - the pumpkin cheesecake, peanut butter pie and an apple dish that I don't recall what they called it. All were tasty but the peanut butter chocolate pie was very, very heavy. It was good but the piece was too big even for sharing, a much smaller slice would have been plenty. We are looking forward to going back to try the brunch. Thanks Joe at Lighthouse Electric and Plumbing for telling us about the Inn, we would not have found it otherwise.

OK - our first visit for dinner in April was a great experience - Mark, our server, was wonderful. The meal was great, and also the view. The second time we went for their Thursday brunch. So-so. I think a lot of what was there on the buffet was left over from the Weds. dinner. Not terrible, but not 5 star either. Went back for dinner 4-5 weeks later and had a terrible experience. Dry steak, dismal veggies, no Mark (he was off that day), and the service was abysmal. So I guess we're 1 for 3. Will we try again? We just may go back to Joel's Frontyard in Verona. Ambiance is lacking, but never had a bad meal there.

Very grateful the owners breathed new life into a historical century-old establishment on Delta Lake. DLI is my favorite place to go, ever since they opened nearly four years ago. Their friendly service is impeccable, and the staff will go out of their way to ensure your dining desires are met. Whether you're stopping in for brunch, lunch, dinner, or just cocktails - the ambience is warm and inviting. I've always had excellent service along with excellent meals. Would love to know the secret of their Caesar Salad dressing, and their Lobster Shrimp bisque is one of the best I've ever tasted. Patrons have the choice of dining inside, or in warmer months, outside on their festive patio which overlooks Delta Dam. They have various sized rooms for private groups, and the beautifully appointed upper level has room enough for larger gatherings such as wedding receptions, high school reunions, etc. They also have a wonderful catering service. Whether you're a party of two or two hundred, the Delta Lake Inn will accommodate you. Parking is plentiful, and the front entrance is handicapped accessible. Join their email list and be kept abreast of all their special events. deltalakeinn.com to check out their sumptuous menu, join their dinner club, or to make reservations. They are also on Facebook: facebook.com/deltalakein…

Good food, but crappy noisy atmosphere, unfriendly rude staff. Cold during winter.

I go on occasion for the Sunday brunch, which is just the best around. I've been on holidays when the service is not the best because it gets packed, but for other times, it's been a great experience. Even when I had troubles, the staff did try to correct. Everything on menu here is great. :)

We had lunch at the Delta Lake Inn and sat on the porch. The view of the lake and dam was great. It was a beautiful day outside. They have an outside deck that looks nice too. The menu for lunch is small but has salads and sandwiches. We had salads and soup that were good. The bar also has a nice selection of wines. The waiter was friendly and attentive. We certainly will be back when we are int he area again.

A well-decorated, inviting place on Fish Hatchery Road, with very tasty food, good portions, and friendly service. I tried the grilled steak, Italian greens, & mozzarella open-faced sandwich on garlic toast of some sort and it was DELICIOUS! Other family members similarly were very pleased with their greens appetizer (very large and has lots of cheese), French onion soup, and buffalo chicken sandwich.

We've eaten at Delta Lake Inn once, and it was fabulous! We will definitely go back! Service was attentive and very helpful, food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were reasonable for this type of upscale restaurant. Nice little touches make the difference. Edible flower imported from Hawaii served with entree; herbed butter and garlic olive oil for bread; tasty balsamic vinaigrette on my salad! The only fault I think I had was the bread was very very crusty and hard to chew. We got dessert to go and the carrot cheesecake was great!

This place is really trying to bring some class to Rome, NY. And in my opinion, it is on the road to success. The views are spectacular, overlooking the Lake Delta Dam, right next to a golf course (Keuka?). There is ample seating inside, including a full length bar in its own area. The service was excellent, although perhaps a bit over-zealous at times. I won't fault the guy though--like I said, they are trying. And he was never pushy and anything so whatever. We started off with an appetizer of calamari, which was very tender and good. The cocktail sauce was excellent, with quite the kick of horseradish. After that came the soup and bread service. I had the seafood bisque, which was very good, but also very rich. Perhaps it would be over-rich to some, but I loved it. And it made for great dipping with the homemade bread (only one type of bread was served, but it was delicious). The bread also came with some sort of herbed butter and olive oil for dipping, but I enjoyed it so much with the soup that I never tried either. Two others at dinner had the house salads instead of soup. They looked like standard salads, but nothing bad. For dinner, I had seared sea scallops with risotto and vegetable medley on the side. The scallops were delicious. Again, there was certainly richness to the sauce they were served in, but I thought it was delicious. Choices, by the way, for entrees, included steaks, seafood, chicken, and pasta. I believe the only vegetarian dish was a pasta serving, although I could be mistaken--perhaps there were no vegetarian dishes offered. I can't positively remember. For desert, two of us shared a slice of key-lime pie. The pie was incredible, and I am thoroughly glad I made room for it. Overall, prices are a little steep, but on par with the Beeches or the Savoy--the other higher class restaurants of Rome. And while you will have to drive out of town for the Inn, it is worth it as it sits right on the lake, with views of the dam and the Palisades cliffs. Certainly, it is worth the drive out to try it out. Help a local business in a small Upstate town succeed and head over if you're in the general area!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. We had a surprise birthday party and a family reunion there and the staff was so helpful, kind, and attentive to our every need. The food was out of this world, the owner, Mike, put up with my million and one detailed questions and requests and perfectly executed every one of them. The food was amazing, the view spectacular, and I just can't recommend this restaurant enough.

I have been here a few times both times the food was great one of the best in town for sure. The outside has a nice view as does the inside good for large or small groups. Although once there was a full house and the air conditioner just couldn't keep up so it did get warm enough to break a sweat. Next time i plan on checking on the bar.

I have visited this restaurant twice and both times have left satisfied. If you can eat out on the deck the view is lovely, but the interior is just as nice. not t

I took my parents for Father's Day and had an outstanding experience. Dad ordered the steak delmonaco (which he loved), mom had chicken roman and I had the crabcakes. My rice and vegies were not hot but still tasty. Do yourself a favor and order the crab and shrimp bisque - I get it every time and it never disappoints. We finished with the lemoncello cake (which we ordered because they ran out of cheesecake) and we ended up splitting a second piece. It was THAT yummy. Excellent food, excellent service. A little pricey, but well worth it, especially for this area.

Really disappointed with my dining experience here. I had their crab and shrimp bisque, which is one of their house items and it was way too thick and salty. The calamari was undercooked and was a skimpy portion for the price. My burger was well done despite the fact that I requested it medium. The key lime pie for dessert was the saving grace, however.

We have been to the Delta Lake Inn a few times and have always found the food and service to be excellent. To find a very good place to eat in this part of NY can be a challenge but whenever we decide to go here we are never disappointed. They have a great Sunday Brunch that definitely beats the brunch at The Beeches, they also have a Tuesday lunch and dinner buffet and their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality in which you receive.
